California-, Michigan-, and Berlin-based composer and multi-instrumentalist Tim Beutler performs music ranging from dark, synth-driven songs to live-looped, electro-organic soundscapes.
Widely diverse in style, with a focus on electronic-influenced rock, songs highlight driving rhythms, analog-laden basslines, and weaving vocal melodies, supported by live instrumental performance. Lines of comedic cynicism are balanced with sweet sentiments of romanticism and deeper feelings of loss, lust, and light. Electronic textures are created in the moment, moved by the human undercurrent of hearts beating and feet tapping.
Tim's new album, "Satellite Mansions" encapsulates many of the feelings, experiences, and challenges encountered in earth and space, mind and place, where loneliness, anger, homesickness, but also growth and love, find their home.
Combining drums, synthesizers, guitar, bass, laptop, and singing, Tim's music is the culmination of more than 15 years of performing, writing, and recording, and will take you on an adventure into the ever-expanding world of the solo performance experience.
